About Me

I’m a serial entrepreneur.  When I have time to get away from the things I’m working on, I document their progress here.  You can also find me on Twitter and LinkedIn (both of which I use sparingly), using the links to the left.

Professionally: I founded Ryan Perry Enterprises as a holding company for all of my projects and investments in 2005, and have launched several companies and websites under that umbrella over the past 5+ years.  The most notable of which is probably Fat Penguin Media, which spawned guy-centric linkdump GorillaMask.net, as well as the Fat Penguin Media brand of blogs, each of which has since been acquired: celebrity gossip blog WWTDD.com was purchased by Buzz Media in late 2007, while WithLeather.com (sports) and FilmDrunk.com (movies) were sold to Uproxx Media in the summer of 2008.  RPE also holds stakes in everything from online t-shirt companies to adult websites, and we have a few very large projects planned for 2010.  Hopefully I will find the time to document their progress on this blog.

Personally: I grew up in the Tri-Cities, a metro area in the southeastern part of Washington (state).  After high school I attended Washington State University for three semesters before dropping out and migrating to Arizona in 2004.  Two days later, I met my future wife while standing next to a keg in her Tempe garage.  We relocated to the Jersey Shore in late 2009, where we hope to raise a huge brood of fist-pumping babies.
